Duties:


  • Reports to the management team the daytoday operations of the office and serves as an advisor on the administrative aspects of the program operations to resolve matters that are often controversial or complicated (e.g., restructuring resources to meet increasing demands).
  • Serves as an advisor in developing and/or formulating of short and long range public health program goals, objectives, and/or policies.
  • Serves as lead representative, project officer, or comparable position for administration of comprehensive agreements.
  • Serves as an expert in developing, monitoring, implementing, and/or evaluating current or projected complex, interrelated public health programs involving governmental and nongovernmental organizations at the community, State, national and/or international levels.

Qualifications:


Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience:
GS-12
: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 **level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below:

  • Evaluating public health programs involving stakeholders from multiple sectors;
  • Developing new or modified guidelines and/or procedures to analyze impact of changes to public health programs;
  • Presenting findings and/or delivering briefings to stake holders;
  • Providing written and/or oral communication by responding to inquiries and/or deliver briefings.
**GS-13
: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12** level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (4) of the (5) duties listed below: - Evaluating public health programs involving stakeholders organizations from multiple sectors;

  • Developing and/or executing public health programs;
  • Presenting findings and/or delivering briefings to stakeholders;
  • Preparing reports used as the basis for management level decisions;
  • Managing administrative requirements (e.g., contracts/awards/grants administration, budget, travel, facilities, etc.) to ensure that support is available and/or administrative actions are initiated properly.
