Sentara Health is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist for Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA
Status:
Full Time (40 hours/week)
Work hours:
Rotating shift 8 hour shifts and will work any of the following shifts per week below:
Pharmacists currently work every 4th weekend * (subject to change and could be more frequent i.e., every 3rd dependent upon staffing/departmental needs).
Overnight shifts are not initially required may be required for coverage needs after sufficient onboarding/training (usually after ~ 1 year).

Job responsibilities:
Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards. Maintains current knowledge of drug use through continuing education. Serves as the primary resource for drug information within the hospital. Assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders. Precepts pharmacy students as assigned.
