Job Summary:
To provide assistance to individuals and families in need of Health Insurance.
The CAC must be able to educate the consumer on selecting the best Health Care Insurance available through the New York State of Health Marketplace.
Primary Responsibility of the Position:
- Ensure that all clients and patients are screened for insurance eligibility.
Promote and expand the Affordable Care Act
:
- Engage with the community and collaborate with all communitybased agencies.
- Conduct Outreach in the community and attend Health Fair Events.
- Must have the ability to explain the process of enrolling for Medicaid, Essential Plans, Child Health Plus, and Qualified Health Plans.
- Being sensitive to low income and ethnic minority communities.
Education and Experience:
- New York State of Health Application Counselor Certification.
- NYS valid driver's license. (Able to drive)
- Experience with costumer service.
- Computer literacy required.
- Bilingual Preferred
Pay:
$36,050.00 per year
