About Orita
Direct-to-consumer brands pay us, in order to market less.

Well, technically, they pay us to market more effectively. And, strangely (), that often means marketing a lot less.


How? We use _a lot of math_ and _a lot of machine learning_ to decide which people on their subscriber lists actually want to hear from them right now.

We exited stealth in January and have scaled extremely quickly. We currently have a one-week lead time in our calendar before we can even schedule demos. _That's not good_.

Our founding sales hire should be excited to:

  • Help our prospects understand when we're a good fit
  • and when we're not
  • Level up our processes. Everything works, but how can it work better?
  • Drive pipeline. You're not a BDR, but building our brand and pipeline is a team effort
As our Founding Sales hire, you'll be reporting directly to our Co-founder and President.


You will

  • Close a bunch of deals. Have at it
  • Manage our Hubspot instance
  • Partner with our President to upgrade our narrative, collateral and sales processes
  • Partner closely with our VP Customer Experience to ensure that new customers transition to longterm superfans
  • Provide feedback to our Product org in order to help levelup our customers' and partners' experience and ROI
  • Influence the vision for our gotomarket function and help build our culture during this rapidgrowth phase of our business.
  • Attend customerfacing events and represent Orita out in the wild
  • Set a high bar for our culture and attract more amazing humans to join our team

Your Ideal Background

  • You have 4+ years of experience as an AE selling SaaS
  • You've consistently hit or exceeded quota
  • You have experience as a BDR/SDR
  • You've been trained on different sales methodologies and bring a strong perspective of what works
  • You have sound business judgment as well as ability to analyze qualitatively, quantitatively, problemsolve, and prioritize. Again, we want you to level us up, not just be an information taker
  • You have strong written and oral communications skills, and can clearly communicate to technical and nontechnical stakeholders at all levels.
  • You have excellent organizational skills, and can cleanly track sales cycles from introduction to deal close across multiple systems
  • You have the ability to contribute to the team in a strategic manner, pulling out insights from deal cycles to better hone the sales process

Bonus points for experience in the following:

  • Deep domain expertise in ecommerce enablement

Orita offers an array of benefits, including competitive salaries, 401K, equity in a fast-growing startup, and a flexible PTO policy.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$200,000 + equity + benefits (healthcare, 401K, etc.).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, location, and relevant education or training.


Compensation Range:
$120K - $200K
