Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

Know and support the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Nursing Department and Deer Meadows Retirement Community as a whole.
Collaborate, communicate and cooperate with other health care providers to ensure quality care, including transcribing physician's orders according to facility procedures.
Continually observe/monitor and evaluate quality, quantity and timeliness of nursing care.
Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on best treatment plan for residents.
Observe and record patient behavior.
Collect patient health history.
Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans.
Administer medication, change wound dressings, and care for various medical needs based on treatment plans.

Essential Requirements:

Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the PA State Board of Nurse Examiners.
Must currently be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the PA State Board of Nurse Examiners.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing, medical practices and procedures.
Knowledgeable of all legal regulations, guidelines and best practices that pertain to longterm care.
Possess leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Time management skills.
Aptitude for problem solving.

Employment is contingent on successful completion of pre placement physical and employment screenings.
