As a Relationship Specialist (Campus), you are responsible to advocate for the success of the Credit Union and its members by establishing and deepening financial relationships through creating exceptional experiences and meeting all assigned goals.

While focusing on new member acquisition you demonstrate a thorough understanding of the DFCU's products and services features and benefits, procedures, policies, and regulations that govern credit Union products and services.

While adhering to these, you accurately address consumer inquiries and fulfill financial transactions including assessing needs, identifying solutions, and matching value added products to improve the member's financial situation through a consultative approach.

As a Relationship Specialist (Campus), you have the perfect blend of member service and sales.


What you will do here:


Build, maintain, and deepen member relationships through financial wellness education, consultative analysis of their financial profile, and by identifying solutions and making recommendations for products and services such as new accounts, personal or auto loans, and credit cards.


Consistently achieve or exceed pre-determined monthly performance metrics by maintaining a thorough knowledge of the products and services available to members to improve their personal financial well-being.

Participate in on
- and off-campus events to promote credit union initiatives by performing member outreach activities to increase new member acquisitions and enhance member relationships.


Maintain a thorough knowledge of various federal regulations around account security, member confidentiality, and proper loan interview and documentation procedures and policies.

Explain loan requirements and processes to borrowers, including full review and evaluation of creditworthiness of potential borrowers.


Proactively identify opportunities for self-development while appropriately managing time to meet member commitments and adapt to obstacles without compromising quality.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


What you will need:

High School Diploma or GED
required.
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program - Business, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, or related field
preferred.
1+ years Sales or Financial Service experience
preferred.
Excellent customer service skills
required.
Exemplary organizational, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills
required.
Excellent time management skills
required.
Strong Mathematical and logic skills
required.
Demonstrated ability to connect and build rapport quickly
required.
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, word)
preferred.
Experience using a customer relationship management tool is a plus
preferred.
Ability to be registered through the Nationwide Mortgage Lending System and Registry (NMLS)
required.
Registered and serve as a Notary Public
preferred.
