- Perform and complete comprehensive evaluations and reassessments for patients utilizing current evidenced based objective tests and measures.
- Develop and implement an individualized plan of care with measureable goals to address dysfunctions identified and patient's goals, including a home program.
- Administer physical therapy treatment based on assessed plan of care, including patient education, manual therapies, non-manual therapies, and modalities as needed.
- Complete comprehensive documentation of all services into the Electronic Medical Record.
- Communicate with referring physician and interdisciplinary team members regarding the initial evaluation, progress notes, and discharge summary.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment plan, prevention, and discharge planning.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and abide by HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
- Maintain safe working environment by complying with departmental policies and procedures, as well as infection control protocols.
- Provide direction and supervision to physical therapy students and volunteers under the rules and regulations of the State Practice Acts and any other State or Federal guidelines.
- Plan and conduct in-service training on physical therapy and related topics for students, staff, and community groups.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by accruing continuing competence hours as stated by The North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus Health director, the Medical director, or the Physical Therapy director.
- In providing physical therapy, adhere to all State and Federal laws, as well as policies and procedures of North Carolina State University and Campus Health.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Require a Physical Therapy degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education accredited physical therapist education program.
- Experience working with an orthopedic patient population, including post surgical patients.
- Recent documentation of continuing education in orthopedic physical therapy.
- Experience documenting in Electronic Medical Records.
- Certified to perform Dry Needling.
- Current license to practice physical therapy in North Carolina from the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Current CPR certification.

The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care for students of North Carolina State University that are eligible to use Campus Health. Perform patient evaluation to assess their functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions, and potential for rehabilitation. Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals according to the patient's evaluation and capacity. Perform patient education and preventative education. Complete all required documentation and billing of services. The aforementioned will be conducted under the direction of a physician's order and the guidelines of all State, Federal, and Professional laws and regulations. Additionally, this position will be involved in team dynamics and participate in interdisciplinary activities when appropriate.
