Your tasks:

  • Responsibility for series development, documentation, and approval of mechanical components, taking into account globally valid certification and approval regulations, as well as design specifications and internal technical specifications until series maturity
  • Evaluation of concept solutions, simulations, samples, and series parts, taking into account Mercedesspecific requirements
  • Constructive development of components and assurance of design models, as well as creation of concept sections with CAD (Siemens NX) as part of model assurance
  • Management and support of suppliers throughout the product development process
  • Control of product progress using appropriate project management methods and monitoring compliance with project deadlines, maturity levels, and cost frameworks
  • Creation of component specifications for inquiries to series suppliers
  • Holistic consideration of development, taking into account function, design, cost, weight, quality, and assembly requirements

Your profile:

  • Completed engineering degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, plastics) with a diploma or bachelor's or master's degree
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of passenger car development, ideally in component development
  • Experience in project work and leading interdisciplinary working groups (e.g. module group),
