    Continuous Improvement Leader

    WFH US/Close to Major Airport

    Masonite Architectural leverages a Lean operating system to systematically focus on the identification & elimination of waste and non-value-added activities to drive value across the organization. Our goal is the seamless flow of material and data through from incoming raw materials through to our customers. The Continuous Improvement Leader will lead initiatives across the Architectural division by partnering with individual sites, as well as cross-functionally, to drive improvement and support growth in all SQDIPP metrics. This leader will accomplish goals through both onsite and virtual support. Travel is 66%-75% in North America, typically that is two weeks of traveling (home on weekends) and one week at home site and/or work from home.

    Requirements:

  • Leadership & support of Masonite's Continuous Improvement strategy with focus on Lean transformation, Process improvement, and training.
  • Coach local Plant Leadership teams and facilitate change management at sites of responsibility.
  • Ensure the targets for CI savings are achieved at assigned sites through project management and leadership, and CI process implementation.
  • Support the CI certification process through training, mentoring, and coaching on use of Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Act as a change agent, thriving in a matrix management environment to drive change and influence others within the organization to make sustainable and measurable improvements in processes.
  • Lead Kaizen Events.
  • Leverage best practices across sites and throughout the organization.
  • Lead projects and support sites with a hands-on attitude to drive the continuous improvement culture throughout the organization by being a partner in their success.
  • Be proactive in finding opportunities for improvement and take personal responsibility for implementation of those improvements while using Lean methodologies.
  • Support the CI team with innovative ideas and idea sharing.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related degree, or have an equivalent background with minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Operations or Transactional environments.
  • Experience leading and facilitating numerous Kaizen and VSM events.
  • Experience leading RCA and PCDA processes with demonstrated problem solving success.
  • Applied knowledge of Lean operating systems.
  • Recent and repeated hands-on experience with application and implementation of Lean methodologies.
  • Experience providing training at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority, to drive and lead change management in multi-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, process disciplined, and results driven with a take charge, open minded and flexible attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vizio and AutoCAD knowledge.
  • Operations leadership / Supervision experience.
  • Lean Leader or Green Belt certified.
  • Bi-lingual in French or Spanish a plus.
