Join the team at Norman Regional Health System's Intermediate Care (IMC) unit where we take care of patients with complex medical conditions that need intermediate or critical care. We are proud to be an accredited primary stroke center, with our IMC unit dedicated specifically to stroke care. Our award-winning team, recognized with the Women's Choice award and the American Heart Association/Get with the Guidelines award, works closely with our stroke coordinator and other departments to provide top-notch care. Our IMC nurses are quick-thinking and highly skilled, able to assess and intervene in a patient's condition promptly. Some common medication drips we use are Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. At Norman Regional, we uphold the core values of Integrity, Communication, Attitude, Results, and Engagement to ensure superb care for our patients and families, while fostering a culture of respect, safety, and teamwork among healthcare professionals. Our charge nurse in IMC carries a lighter patient load and serves as a valuable resource not just for our unit, but for other departments too.
