    COFFEE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM

    Exciting Opportunity: Speech/Language Teacher Position


    Reporting to: Principal, Director of Special Education


    Qualifications:

    • Hold a valid TN Teacher's License with appropriate endorsements
    • Demonstrate Highly Qualified Status in areas of assigned instruction
    • Possess strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Showcase competent technological skills

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare engaging lesson plans for Articulation and Language needs
    • Ensure alignment with state and local curriculum standards
    • Utilize diverse teaching strategies to enhance student learning
    • Individualize lesson plans based on student's needs and IEP guidelines
    • Collaborate with Speech Pathologist on student progress
    • Supervise and mentor Speech Assistants
    • Create a conducive learning environment
    • Analyze data for instructional guidance
    • Communicate clear expectations for lessons
    • Maintain classroom order
    • Engage in student supervision during school events
    • Collaborate with other professionals on student issues
    • Regularly communicate with parents
    • Monitor student progress and provide reports
    • Attend parent conferences
    • Maintain accurate records
    • Report child welfare concerns
    • Participate in faculty meetings and professional development
    • Contribute to IEP meetings
    • Be involved in compliance monitoring and Child Find activities
    • Support general education teachers in meeting special needs

    • Uphold ethical standards and professionalism
    • Additional responsibilities may arise
