Experienced Full-Time Book keeper Construction Company:
Duties:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform general ledger reconciliation
- Prepare and process payroll
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures
- Generate financial reports as needed
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations
Skills:
- Proficiency in general ledger accounting principles
- Strong knowledge of debits and credits
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken
- Ability to perform account reconciliations accurately
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process.
- Work with the project managers and provide detailed financial reporting to ensure costs, timeline, and budget of construction projects are accurately forecasted.
- Perform extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software
- Update and maintain accurate financial records, contracts, annual budgets, and financial statements
- Process invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and on time and resolve any invoice issues
- Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, prepare balance sheets, and financial reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred. High school diploma is required.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or full bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
- Experience with double entry bookkeeping
- Exceptional organization, analytical, problem solving, and communications skills are important
- Familiarity with construction accounting concepts and best practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software
- Experience with Foundation Software accounting system preferred
Pay:
$75, $95,000.00 per year
