SUMMARY:
Under the Supervision of the Cafeteria Logistics Coordinator, the School Meals Delivery Driver

will be responsible for transporting thousands of school meals from the district central cafeteria

to individual school sites throughout Southern California. The School Meals Delivery Driver will

also be responsible for transporting raw food items on pallets between the cafeteria and various

storage facilities.


DUTIES:

• Load and unload bulk packages of individually wrapped school meals on a daily basis,

and ensure that the meals are delivered at the appropriate temperature.

• Ensure all transportation records are received and correct for next day's delivery, and

ensure that transportation records are returned at the end of the day.

• Ensure loading and unloading of pallets of food is performed to expectations
• Load and unload products from trailers, dock or storage areas using pallet jacks and

other material handling equipment. May move lighter loads manually.

• May transport items from the warehouse or freezer to various departments. Store the

products in their proper places in the warehouse.

• Exercises extreme care and safety when using a pallet jack.
• At the end of the work shift ensure all keys, gas cards and phones are returned.
• Ensure all company equipment is returned to the assigned location at the end of work

shift

• Perform inspection on trucks at the end of the day to ensure there are no dents or

scratches.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required to have a valid state issued Driver's license
• Clean driving record for at least 3 years
• No automobile accidents for at least 4 years
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Ability to multitask
• A minimum of 23yrs of delivery / logistics leading experience
• Ability to speak and write English and Spanish

Physical Demands:

• The ability to lift/push objects weighing over 50lbs.
• The ability to have repetitive use of hands for grasping, folding, pushing, pouring,

kneading, and fine manipulation

• The ability to bend, twist, walk, and stand to perform normal job functions
• The ability to handle cleaning chemicals and wash hands frequently

Licenses and Other Requirements
DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance

California Valid Driver's License

• Current California Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Clean driving record which meets requirements
• Must pass physical examination/Required Drug Test

Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour
