Configuration Management Specialist - Egg Harbor Township, United States - Guice Associates

This position provides Configuration Management Support to the FAA En Route Communications Gateway (ECG) group. ECG is a mission-critical interface for surveillance and flight data. It provides the portal for the transfer of aircraft flight plan and surveillance data to other En Route systems.


Support includes:

Maintaining and developing new Technical Instruction (TI) and System Support Modification (SSM) documents for Tech Refresh of the workstations, PDU sequencer, PTRs, Labs, hardware racks, and other components, as needed.

Will also be assisting with the new ECG offshore system build, contribute to documentation preparation and maintenance.

Associates degree in Computer Science (CS), or another technical degree, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in CS, or another technical degree, with 3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge of configuration management which includes ensuring version control processes and procedures are followed

Strong technical writing skills to document and perform audits on product, project, lab, and operational system baselines

Able to perform software builds and installations on test environment

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Visio (preferred)

Experience in inserting and deleting graphics, charts, etc.

Participate in meetings


Pay:
$50, $55,000.00 per year
