- Responsible for designing, developing, releasing, and maintaining designated software applications.
- Gather, document, understand, and articulate functional, non-functional, and business requirements that are already defined.
- Perform unit, regression, and integrations testing for application changes to ensure high quality.
- Track and monitor production systems for issue identification and prevention across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Research and troubleshoot issues across different functional teams in order to rectify system problems in a timely manner.
- Communicate status updates with team members and leaders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Becomes familiar with Alfas interconnected technology framework and systems in order to understand impact of software changes.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area of study related to Computer Science or Mathematics is required.
- Experience in Java, GOSU, XML, Insurance Vertical Experience, SQL Server, a modern code repository (i.e. BitBucket, GitHub, etc.).
- Competent communication skills, including clear and timely communication on business issues and assignments with peers, management and product owners.
- Ability to quickly learn and comprehend insurance-related topics and relate that knowledge to the development process.
- Possess the ability to work efficiently during core business hours while effectively managing time.
