- Responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the Guidewire software applications and related components both independently and as part of a team.
- Assist in the process of gathering, understanding, and articulating, functional, non-functional, and business requirements that are already defined.
- Research and troubleshoot issues across different environments in order to rectify system problems in a timely manner.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area of study related to Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering is required. Or bachelor's degree required with 10 years' experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of on-the-job experience coding and developing in Guidewire required. Or at least 2 years of on-the-job experience coding and developing in Guidewire required and having attained the GW Certified Professional certification.
- Experience in Java, GOSU, XML, Insurance Vertical Experience, SQL Server, a modern code repository, (i.e. BitBucket, GitHub, etc.).
- Guidewire PolicyCenter experience is a plus, but not required.
- Proven experience in or knowledge of all SDLC components.
- Competent communication skills (sending and receiving), including clear and timely communication on business issues and assignments with peers, management, and product owners.

Job Summary
As a Guidewire Senior Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and developing Guidewire software applications and related components both independently and as part of a team. You will be a part of our dynamic Guidewire Configuration Team where you will apply your expertise in gathering, documenting, understanding and articulating functional and non-functional already defined business requirements.

Applicant may be required to travel to Montgomery corporate headquarters at supervisor's request for meetings and/or training sessions.
