Our client, a brand new 5 star luxury hotel in Washington DC National Mall area is seeking dedicated and motivated Housekeeping Manager.


We're looking for a professional, experienced housekeeping manager to perform impeccable housekeeping services and provide our guests with a safe and clean environment for an exceptional stay with us.

You'll lead the housekeeping team, ensure team members comply with high standards of cleanliness and sanitation protocol, and oversee the housekeeping department budget.

Experience in a supervisory role overseeing housekeeping staff or a similar role is required. If you have excellent communication skills and leadership experience, we highly encourage you to apply.

The Housekeeping Manager will manage and oversee the daily activities of the housekeeping department.

The position is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the department to ensure a high level of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
  • Manage the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure that all rooms and public spaces are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Monitor the inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment and make recommendations for purchases.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations and standards.
  • Work with other departments to ensure the overall guest experience is positive and consistent.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process of new housekeeping staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a housekeeping management role.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations and standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
