Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Well Control Instructor to teach accredited IADC and IWCF well control courses and other related technical classes.
As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational content and fostering a positive learning environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach drilling, well control, oil, and gas information and prepare students to obtain professional certification.
- Develop training courses and create appropriate material
- Deliver instructional material in a clear and concise manner
- Schedule courses to meet operational requirements.
- Assist with program simulators and well models
- Maintain all systems and equipment.
- Ensure all work meets industry standards, update training records, collaborate with associated organizations, meet deadlines, and provide support to students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or similar engineering preferred
- Bilingual written & verbal (English/Spanish)
- 10+ years Drilling Engineer experience
- Certified Well Control Instructor
- IADC and IWCF certified
- Proven experience as an Instructor (instructing/teaching classes in person and virtually).
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities
- Must be Tech proficient as most classes will be taught virtually.
- Willing to travel, as needed.
- Willing to work multiple time zones.
- Must pass preemployment Drug/Alcohol Screen, and Background/MVR Check
- Current driver's license w/ clean driving record.
HOURS & ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- 40 hours p/wk. Hours will be based on the needs of the course and team receiving the training.
- On Site/location & Remote classes will depend on the training course.
