Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team.
The Medication Aide will be responsible for administering medications to residents in a senior care facility, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to medical protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Document medication administration accurately and maintain medical records
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
- Certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent required
- Ability to provide compassionate and attentive patient care
- Familiarity with home care practices and caregiving techniques
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medical documentation
