Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ), Großbeeren:

The Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) improves the fundamental understanding of plant systems to accelerate the development of sustainable horticulture.

We investigate how systems within plants, between plants and the natural or horticultural environment, and between plants and humans function and complement each other.

This addresses systemic and global challenges such as biodiversity, climate change, urbanization, and malnutrition. We provide scientifically based recommendations for healthy food systems and sustainable interactions with the environment. At IGZ, employees from different disciplines and backgrounds work together in national and international research collaborations. The IGZ is located in Großbeeren near Potsdam/Berlin and is a member of the Leibniz Association.

At the institute, starting on June 1, 2023, and limited until May 31, 2024, in the program area "Horticultural Systems of the Future", research group "Field Cultivation Systems", within the BLE joint project "Georeferenced Sensor-based Data Management System for Site-specific Irrigation and Fertilization of Field Vegetables (GeoSenSys)", the following position is to be filled:
