Responsibilities for Utilities Coordinator:
Utilities Coordinator/Investigations
SPOC:
Single point of contact for municipalities needing prompt feedback regarding the potential conflict of Telecommunication fiber assets that may impede the progress of inquiring entities road widening/relocation projects.
" Investigations
" Digital engineering and construction drawings/prints markups
" Roadways & Signalization Plans
" Prepare conflict matrix and utility work schedules
" Provide no facilities/no conflict letters
MUST HAVE SKILLS FOR UTILITIES COORDINATOR (Most Important):
" Strong Computer Skills (Databases, Processes, and Administrative) - Comprehensive knowledge and skills for more complex applications to include Word, Excel, Visio, ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, Google Earth, etc.
" Knowledge of telecommunications networks plant and right-of-way practices
DESIRED SKILLS FOR UTILITIES COORDINATOR:
" Knowledge of engineering and construction field practices preferably in South Florida
" Engineering and construction permitting requirements/processes.
" Telecom Network Operations experience - splicing, testing, repair and maintenance of large count fiber optic cables
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS FOR UTILITIES COORDINATOR:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, or - 5 years of applicable experience
