    Job Title: Assistant Manager, VPC Operations

    GLOVIS EV Logistics America LLC is an integrated logistics company located in Savannah, Georgia. We provide Tier 1 logistic, warehousing and inventory services to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). GLOVIS EV Logistics America was established on October 6, 2022.

    Department: Vehicle Processing Center (VPC)

    Reports to: Manager, VPC Operations

    Job Summary: The Assistant Manager of VPC operations will oversee the activities related to Port Installed Options and Undercover/Underbody, and Sign Off operations. This position will provide leadership and guidance to ensure customer satisfaction is met and exceeded. The AM will be directly in charge of GLOVIS VPC personnel and support staff. The AM will focus on Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, and People (SQECP) in their department, and meet all KPI metrics and goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Directs daily operations for staff on-site including performance management and employee development.
    • Determines head count needs to meet production goals.
    • Reviews production plans with Operations team for vehicle output and guidance.
    • Implements vehicle processing improvements.
    • Performs personnel functions such as selection, training, or evaluation.
    • Monitors performance of organizational members or partners.
    • Leads efforts to maximize efficiencies, optimizes service, and meets business plan objectives at Glovis EA ports.
    • Collaborates with warehouse to ensure adequate part supply based on the production plan.
    • Uses thorough knowledge of all phases of the business to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
    • Takes a hands-on approach to gain direct knowledge in order to validate and/or improve current processes and procedures.
    • Verifies cost recovery and supports KPI goals to meet and or exceed set goals for the department.
    • Develops and trains all department personnel to maintain the highest standards.
    • Supports all SQECP company goals and support staff to achieve those goals and make recommendations to ensure success.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
    • Minimum of 5 years of Operations experience, preferably in the automobile industry.
    • Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
    • Excellent written and oral communication in English
    • Operations management system experience highly preferred.
    • Database management system experience
    • Must be able to direct work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to adapt to change.
    • Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

    This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items.     The estimated base salary range for this job is $80,000-$85,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
