SUD / Mental Health program seeking an experienced Clinical Director to oversee its residential programs.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the field of addiction treatment and committed to grow with us as we expand our facilities.

The Clinical Director is a member of the leadership team and reports directly to the Program Director. The Clinical Director role is designed to ensure program is delivering quality and ethical treatment services utilizing industry best-practices.

Applicant must be a licensed MFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Psy.

D with at least three years of full time work experience in a program that treats clients diagnosed with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders, and at least one year in a supervisor position.


Responsibilities include; but are not limited to the following:

  • Assess and analyze strengths, needs, and outcomes of clinical program to determine program's effectiveness and/or opportunities for improvement
  • Educate, supervise, and train Associate (licenseeligible) staff members
  • Maintain competency and understanding of all contract, license, and certification requirements effecting the organization by ensuring that all requirements and regulations are incorporated into procedures and ultimately adhered to
  • Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and training to staff members in an individual and/or group capacity, as needed
  • In collaboration with Program Director, coordinate inservice training program for all staff. Ensure that all staff receives required training related to each contract and licensure/certification requirements on an annual basis. Maintain Staff Training database (currently using Relias).
  • Participate in selection and hiring of clinical staff members
  • Develop and oversee the clinical program schedule
  • Ensure the utilization of appropriate, evidencebased curricula and material within all clinical groups
  • Assess groups through direct observation and clinician and client feedback; modify group topics / goals, as needed
  • Facilitate weekly treatment team meetings
  • Assist staff members with the completion of Utilization Review documentation for submission to managed care providers.
  • Conduct chart audits utilizing clinical tracers to ensure quality clinical service delivery. Conduct observational group evaluations to ensure quality of group facilitation techniques.
  • Maintain a caseload of 24 clients and facilitate 12 groups per week
  • Assist with intake processes, including diagnosis and completion of bio/psycho/social assessments and Suicide Risk Assessments, as needed
  • Must be available for clinical coverage and afterhours for emergencies

Qualifications:


  • Current CA licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psy.
D, and must meet the BBS requirements to supervise Associates

  • Must possess leadership skills combined with the ability to effectively collaborate with a team, providing genuine support and direction to all staff
  • Must be proficient in computer skills and programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and have experience utilizing an electronic health record system (Kipu, ZenCharts)
  • Ability to abide by HIPAA and HIPAA Privacy Rule and 42 CFR, Part
  • Participate in continuing personal and professional development
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences
  • Excellent writing, reading, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of DHCS, Joint Commission, and various insurance standards
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification and TB test
