    Description

    Position: Chemotherapy Nurse

    Company: Confidential



    Location:
    Spokane Valley Office

    Pay Range:
    $53.71 per hour

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Safely and accurately administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients as prescribed by physicians, following ONS standards and guidelines
    - Proper disposal of biohazardous waste in accordance with OSHA and HRS guidelines
    - Conduct ongoing patient assessments


    Documentation:
    - Maintain thorough and accurate records of patient treatment in OncoEMR
    - Ensure proper charges are recorded for medication administration
    - Adhere to the Company's ID policy with every patient interaction


    Education:
    - Serve as a moderator/instructor for chemotherapy classes when necessary
    - Educate patients and their families on medications, side effects, and treatment plans
    - Interact with compassion and professionalism


    Telephone Triage:
    - Prioritize incoming calls/messages from various sources
    - Respond promptly within appropriate time frames


    Supply Management:
    - Assist with inventory and restocking of medical supplies
    - Recommend new purchases as needed
    - Ensure timely storage of stock


    Nucleus:
    - Proficient in dispensing medications via Nucleus system
    - Conduct cycle counts and restock medications promptly
    - Record all patient charges accurately in Nucleus


    Meetings and Compliance:
    - Attend safety/OSHA training and staff meetings
    - Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information
    - Assist in new employee training
    - Adhere to all federal and state regulations


    Experience/Qualifications:
    - Registered Nurse licensed in the State of employment, with IV therapy experience
    - Prior experience with hematology/oncology patients in clinic or hospital settings
    - Ability to assess patient needs and conditions
    - Strong critical thinking skills and ability to handle emergencies calmly
    - Current CPR & BLS certifications required
    - Fluency in English with excellent communication skills
    - Valid Driver's License for in-state travel to clinics
