    Job DescriptionSMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Calibration Technician Job Title: Calibration Technician IJob Location: Irving, TX, U.S.A. 75038Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)Pay: Starts at $18.00 an hourShift Structure: ONSITE, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekThe role of the Calibration Technician:
    • Ensuring the accuracy of measurement and process equipment across all Manufacturing and Research operations
    • Meticulous calibration work will directly impact product quality and compliance with Quality Systems Requirements and other regulatory standards
    • Will be responsible for performing precise calibrations on various testing and measuring equipment, tools, gauges, and fixtures according to written and automated procedures
    • In cases where equipment cannot be internally maintained, you will coordinate calibration with certified outside sources
    • Will maintain accurate records to facilitate problem identification, develop department procedures, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
    About the Calibration Technician:The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
    • High School Diploma / GED or Associate's Degree
    • 0-3 years of related work experience
    • ISO17025 knowledge
    • Metrology background
    • Calibration background
    • Purchase Order experience
    • Communication skills with external vendors
    • Attention to Detail
    • Usage of Equipment Tracking System
    • Metrology background (dimensional, electronic, mechanical)
