What you will be doing:
As the Information Officer 2, your primary role will be to perform communication and outreach activities for the Department of Health (DOH).
This involves writing and disseminating news releases, fact sheets, talking points, and public service announcements using various methods, including (but not limited to) print, digital, social media, and broadcast.
You will write and edit content for all types of department publications channels.
Additionally, you will help implement marketing, social media, and education campaigns for the department and assist in the development and implementation of educational and engaging content for the department's channels.

Become part of the Public Information Team, the centralized group of communications professionals that supports our department and is based in Anchorage.

Special Note:
"Competencies" means a combination of interrelated knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that enable a person to act effectively in a job or situation.
"Typically gained by" means the prevalent, usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.
