Description
Responsible for the operations of a large program or center at the university. Oversees staff, budgets, and projects.

  • Oversees a large department, program or center.
  • Manages budget and engages in strategic planning to ensure all goals are met.
  • Hires and directs the activities of staff.
  • Resolves personnel issues as they arise.
  • Engages in budgetplanning, grant oversight, and policy development.
  • Implements new programs and projects and monitors ongoing activities of department or center.
  • Reviews department policies and processes and implements improvements as needed.
  • Represents department or center to internal and external constituents.
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as required.

- or off-campus student travel, airport transportation, registration, setting up E-mail accounts, obtaining keys, arranging for housing, scheduling and coordinating seminars, STEM Outreach activities, pre/post program assessments, the BRAIN workforce development symposium, tracking and maintaining contact with the participants, including faculty and graduate student mentors, creating forms, managing the NSF ETAP database for the applicants, assisting with report preparation for the training grant and the Center's workforce development program, updating the REU Site website, and attending IAB meetings and events organized by the Center

Qualifications
Bachelors and 5 years experience

Education:

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.

Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.


Experience:
Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience

None.

Commensurate with experience
