Responsible for the operational risk and compliance performance.

The role ensures corporate standards related to anti-money laundering policies, banking and lending regulations compliance, compliance with enterprise standards and practices are effectively implemented and followed.

Additionally, the position assists with the preparation and follow-up activity associated with regulatory, internal audits, and other third-party, on-site examinations.

Works under mínimal supervision. This position also assists the business in building and strengthening risk mitigation infrastructure and building associated controls. Also, supports the business through change management and risk mitigation for new initiatives. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.


Responsibilities:


Works with the business to meet the needs of various corporate initiatives such as vendor management, operational risk events, risk-related open issues, complaints, and operational readiness reviews for projects.

Works actively with the business to conduct end-to-end reviews for critical processes, identifies gaps as they relate to operational and regulatory risk, and defines best possible scenarios for remediation.

Proactively identifies and drives improvement efforts to increase risk-control effectiveness. Monitors issue resolution to gaps identified and drives the business through the appropriate solutions.
Assists BRIC and Business Unit Leadership in regulatory exam, internal audit, and compliance review preparation and management.

Serves as a thought leader in the area of operational risk and control and provides advisory services to the business area on key projects/initiatives.

Supports projects and initiatives in conjunction with 'Control Owners' to drive control improvements across the operations unit.

Keeps business aware of issues and activities related to risk identification and controls weaknesses and escalates to management as appropriate.

Assists in the embedding of business continuity practices into the business strategy and operational activities of the business.

Minimum Qualifications


At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
Bachelor's Degree Business, or related field
6+ years of experience in a multiple business function, compliance department, or other internal control function at a financial services company, or related field
In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in a multiple business function, compliance department, or other internal control function at a financial services company, or related field

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149, Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.

Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
