North America Overland is a small shop that specializes in restoration of 50s, 60s and 70s Land Rovers.This is an entry level position that involves disassembling parts, prepping parts for paint, basic spray painting, delivering parts to various subcontractors, doing odd jobs around the shop and keeping the shop and property clean.
It also involves assisting other technicians with restorations which is a great opportunity to learn about auto restoration. No specific knowledge of Land Rovers is required although a desire to learn is important. Some past experience working on cars is required. The applicant is expected to have their own basic set of hand tools. This is a position with room to grow and advance in the field of auto restoration.Qualifications and Skills:
- Automotive repair experience at least 1 year
Able to lift 50 lbs
Work safely, wear safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection or respirator
- Work efficiently
- Follow lists on iPad
- Proficient with basic hand tools and air tools
- Proficient with cutting and grinding tools
- Basic spray painting
- Use DA to sand body panels to bare metal
Automotive Technician Responsibilities:
- Disassemble mechanical components
- Disassemble body panels
- Assist with vehicle tear downs
- Sand and prep body panels for paint
Deliver and pick up parts to various subcontractors Do odd jobs around shop
Do repairs and maintenance to shop and property
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour
