Leading People & Culture at Trax
The Head of People and Culture plays a key role in shaping the employee experience at Trax. You'll help foster a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and proud to be part of something bigger than themselves. You'll partner closely with senior leaders across the credit union, serving as a trusted advisor on people-related decisions. From hiring and onboarding to performance, development, succession planning, and offboarding, you'll oversee the full employee journey and help ensure consistency, fairness, and care at every stage.
HR Compliance, Policies & Benefits
This role is responsible for keeping Trax's HR foundation strong. You'll develop, maintain, and communicate clear HR policies and procedures that align with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and our values. You'll stay current on employment law and HR best practices, guiding leaders through employee relations matters with empathy and sound judgment. You'll also oversee employee benefits and retirement programs, including administration of the 401(k) plan and pension plan, with a solid understanding of ERISA requirements and vendor coordination.
Training, Development & Connection
This role leads our training department with a strong focus on both skills and leadership development. You'll oversee training programs that help employees grow, leaders lead more effectively, and teams stay aligned with company strategy. You'll also play a central role in planning and managing our annual All Employee meeting and our ongoing Culture committees, ensuring they are engaging, well-organized, and meaningful.
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced education or additional professional certifications are a plus.
• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 2 years managing an HR department and leading teams.
• Thoughtful judgement and high emotional intelligence, driven by a genuine love for people.
• A strong attention to detail, recognizing that even small things matter when they impact our employees.
• Extensive knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and ERISA, with hands-on experience administering 401(k) and pension plans.
• Experience leading training and development initiatives
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools. Experience with Paylocity and TruStage are a plus.
• A high level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership
• Comfortable with managing companywide meetings and employee events from start to finish
