Description

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, such as sandwiches, salads, and soups
Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment
Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling and storage of perishable items
Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring product expiration dates
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and addressing customer concerns
Upsell additional deli items or promotional offers to increase sales

Skills:

Experience with Aloha POS or similar pointofsale systems is preferred
Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is a plus
Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions accurately
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic food service procedures
Ability to bus tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
Strong sales skills and ability to upsell products to customers
Basic understanding of retail math for calculating prices, discounts, and change
Excellent communication and customer service skills
