Comprehensive training will be provided to all new hires.

Annual Salary

Entry Level - H23A: $37, plus Full State Employee Benefits
Intermediate Level - H23B: $40, plus Full State Employee Benefits
Advanced Level - H23C: $43, plus Full State Employee Benefits

Individuals with a Master's Degree in Social Work are eligible for an additional 5% salary incentive.

On-call roles will receive a bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, based on assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements

Child Welfare Specialist, Level I

Completion of 90 credit hours from an accredited college or university.
OR 3 years of relevant experience in child welfare.
OR A combination of education and experience.

Child Welfare Specialist, Level II

A bachelor's degree (in any field) is required.
OR One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

Child Welfare Specialist, Level III

A Master's degree is mandatory.
OR a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

Responsibilities

All New Team Members will complete the Child Welfare Core Academy Training Program

Collaborate closely with Child Protective Services to assess and review reports of suspected abuse, neglect, and risks to a child's well-being received through the 24-hour statewide Oklahoma Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline.
Support callers by providing details on alleged child abuse or neglect, defining these terms, recognizing potential signs, and gathering necessary information to assess reported incidents.
Record and manage reports received via the Hotline in the Child Abuse and Neglect Information System (KIDS); evaluate if immediate action is needed for the allegations and promptly alert district Child Welfare Services (CWS) staff when emergencies arise.

Occasional Travel - Applicants must hold a valid driver's license and maintain the required car insurance. State-owned vehicles are accessible for job-related duties.
