The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness amongst our veterans.

The Foundation is seeking an experienced Director Veteran Facilities to oversee the Foundation's commercial real estate assets nationwide, as well as ongoing projects, operations, and new ventures, as it relates our Homeless Veteran Program.


Applicants need to organized, have the ability to effectively multi-task within a timely fashion, possess a keen attention to detail, prioritize multiple projects and workload, and handle sensitive information.

Duties and responsibilities_

  • Perform assessments of current projects nationwide and compile operational, logístical, and security protocols based on each.
  • Properly vet and hire sitespecific property managers who will serve as direct reports.
  • Work with property managers to enlist and manage vendors to support ongoing operations at each site.
  • Communicate job expectations to property managers; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans and identify trends.
  • Forecast requirements for longterm operations; efficiently compile, format and submit reports regarding project budgets, operational costs, and ongoing expenditures for each site.
  • Develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures and operational systems.
  • Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
  • Establish contracts and pricing and ensure proper maintenance and oversight of sitespecific property managers.
  • Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.
  • Work closely with the direct reports, logistics manager, and team to perform analysis of inventory and ensure proper utilization.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for issues and escalations, and make determinations based on safety, budget, and continuity of service.
  • Assist as needed for Foundation special events.

Qualifications_

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 57 years' executive level operations experience.
  • Experience in commercial real estate operations required.
  • Experience in managing employees, vendors, and contractors required.
  • Experience working with Veterans or other homeless populations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently in fastpaced environment and multitask in a smart and timely fashion.
  • Detailed oriented and organized.
  • Must be a team player and able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Google sheets, etc.
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.

Working conditions_


Special Working conditions may include a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events.


Pay:
$90, $105,000.00 per year
