- Minimum of 2-year associate degree from an accredited program for medical assistants
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Preferred experience in Acumen, and EPIC
- Passage of a criminal background check, OIG exclusion and drug screenings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Computer skills using Microsoft (MS) Excel and SharePoint, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Teams, and various data management platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Knowledge of ethics of confidentiality and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

- Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting area to the processing room
- Review and understand lab values.
- Obtains vital signs, which includes blood pressure, temperature, and pulse (radial or apical)
- Obtains patient weight and records the information in the chart via the EMR.
- Ability to effectively use the Hemocue machine after training and certification by qualified personnel.
- Check HGB of patient via fingerstick after training and certification by qualified personnel.
- Administer subcutaneous, intermuscular, or intra-dermal injections under direct supervision of a physician as required by protocol and documented in the patient's chart.
- Check out patients in the clinical area.
- Responsible for the maintenance, inventory, security, and organization of the medication closet.
- Hearing, visual acuity, talking.
- Reaching, grabbing, holding - fine motor skills.
- Extended periods in a stationary or standing position.
- Repetitive motion such as entering data into computer-based programs.
- Lift or move up to 10 pounds. Employee is expected to use appropriate ergonomics and tools such as hand carts for heavier loads.
