Job description
We are looking for an experienced Part-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Appleton, Wisconsin.This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, accurate, and capable of managing a high volume of invoices.
The role provides an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of the accounts payable department while handling essential financial tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage a high volume of invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure proper coding of invoices and verify compliance with organizational standards.
- Perform regular check runs and reconcile payment records.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable documentation.
- Address any discrepancies or issues related to invoice processing promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in the accounts payable workflow.
- Assist in tracking and reporting accounts payable metrics.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices to maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Support the department in identifying resource needs and optimizing processes.
- Proven experience in accounts payable processes and invoice management.
- Proficiency in coding invoices and performing check runs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle large volumes of invoices efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving discrepancies.
- Familiarity with financial systems and tools used in accounts payable.
- Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
- Adept at maintaining accurate records and documentation.
