Overview:


  • The Continuous Improvement Coordinator works with operations and office teams to analyze processes to recognize opportunities, implement changes, and sustain improvements. This position works with all supervision and employees to train and coach employees to see better ways to conduct work more safely and efficiently. Position requires an individual apt to working collaboratively in a fastpaced working environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Support operations and office teams with optimization of waste elimination, quality improvements, material flow, and efficiency improvements
  • Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Mentor trainees on projects and assist through the continuous improvement process.
  • Provide training on continuous improvement and basic problemsolving methodologies company wide.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and run Kaizen events.
  • Present data and measures to teams and supervisors.
  • Support operations and office teams in setting goals and measuring key indicators of plant performance for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
  • Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper PPE's and Safety procedures are followed.
  • Instills a sense of quality through modeled quality behaviors and mindset.
  • Flexibly works other shifts, shifts maybe 8, 10 or 12 hours as needed.
  • Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of Praxis Packaging Solutions.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree or equivalent combination preferred.
  • 13 years of experience working in a similar manufacturing environment required.
  • Willing to complete continuous improvement training and obtain a Green Belt within 3 months of starting role, required.
  • Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and exposure to Lean tool, preferred.
  • Good project management skills and ability to coordinate and followup on projects in a timely manner.
  • Experience in managing various levels of employees with different educational backgrounds, work style habits, and employment histories.
  • Personal mindset of improving our processes
  • Ability to engage others and influence/motivate them to try new ways of doing things
  • Comfortable with data and information


  • Computer/Communication Skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred
  • Ability to present training topics to small or mediumsized groups.
  • Basic comprehension of the English language: reading and writing skills to understand and complete necessary paperwork, required.
