Job Responsibility

Pick up medication orders from patient care areas and delivers medications and IV preparations to the patient care areas in a timely manner.

Pick up unused medications from the patient care areas and returns them to the pharmacy.

Deliver floor stock requests to the patient care areas.

Deliver controlled drugs to the patient care areas following strict guidelines for the delivery of these agents.

Transport and exchange the twentyfourhour medication needs for all patient care areas.
Answer pages promptly and adhere to the system of completing the delivery tickets for all runs in the hospital.
Perform duties in the event of an emergency such as sick call coverage, vacant position coverage, workload adjustments and projects.
Performs related duties, as required.
ADA Essential Functions

Job Qualification

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Delivery experience in a healthcare facility, preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, required.
Ability to use carts, beepers, pagers, etc., required.
Ability to work independently and as a team player. Task oriented with good verbal and written communication skills, required.
