- Education: High school completion or equivalent GED
- Experience: 3 years applicable direct experience in a similar position.
- Preferred Qualification/Certification #1: Technical School preferred.
- Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems required.
- Mathematics, personal computers, and related applications are vital.
- Maintains building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment.
- Performs maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc.
- Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded.
- Answers security alarm calls as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician. Working in partnership with under limited supervision, installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and escalates the most complex issues.This role will be a full-time position based out of St. Louis, MO site.
