Kern Regional Center is one of 21 private, non-profit regional centers contracted by the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to coordinate community-based services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Kern Regional Center services over 10,000 individuals in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties. Our counties cover approximately 22,000 square miles with a population of over 945,000 people.

Kern Regional Center is looking for a dedicated IT Specialist.

This individual will collaborate directly with the Information Technology Manager to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Systems Engineering from an accredited school.
  • Five years in related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware.
  • Ability to perform tasks onsite as well as remotely when necessary.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License and State automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout.
  • Full use of automobile or ability to provide for independent transportation.
  • Must be able to drive to various sites as assigned on a daily basis.
  • Must be available to work evening, weekend, and be on call.

Starting Hourly Rate
- $30.08-$31.58

Hourly Rate-$30.08-$42.33
