Job Description and Duties

*This role may offer telework options with mandatory in-person attendance at the Region Institutions and the Fresno Regional Office as needed*
As a Registered Dietitian, CF, you will provide medical nutrition therapy to patients in a correctional health care facility under the clinical guidance of the Chief Medical Executive and direct supervision of the Food Administrator I/II. Responsibilities include planning and organizing dietary activities, offering medical nutritional therapy, menu review and creation, authorizing special diet modifications, participating in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team, and providing counseling to patients. Additionally, you will oversee inmate conduct and ensure the safety of individuals and property.
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Applicants eligible for registration will be considered for examination but must obtain registration for appointment. Candidates eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be evaluated for this role.
