- Understand all phases of the analytic process including data collection, data transfer, preparation, cleaning, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.
- Maintain and optimize large and complex longitudinal databases.
- Explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources in order to identify, provide reporting on, and analyze trends in the data as well as regular reporting for assigned departments.

- Work alongside Principal Investigator and additional data analysts to complete projects with a high level of detail while meeting strict deadlines.

The Department of Infectious Diseases and International Health is seeking a Lead Epidemiologist or Research Data Scientist to join Dr.
Kathleen McManus' research team.The research experiences will span a number of research projects that focus on HIV care, HIV prevention, and health policy.
The overarching goal of Dr.McManus's research is to quantify and characterize the impact of health policies on the United States' plan to end the HIV epidemic and ultimately to improve health policies for people with HIV and those at risk for HIV.
This position is a leadership role in strategizing, coordinating, and implementing data-related initiatives within the research team. Opportunities to generate and present scholarly work are expected.The role will require both careful management and analyses of large datasets, as well as, additional creative and challenging projects.
As a member of a Dr. McManus's research team, they will provide sophisticated data management and analysis to support projects or programs. They focus primarily on high-level data projections and statistical analysis.They manage the design and programming of all data entry forms and the training and supervision of all team members who are working on data analysis including student workers and volunteers.
They oversee regular assessments of reliability, meet weekly to discuss research progress, and assist with literature searches pertinent to various research project topics.
