- Coordinating and monitoring all membership services sales, locker rentals, pro-shop operations, equipment room rentals, facility tours, and marketing of all front desk services.
- Baseline-level knowledge of RecTrac (or equivalent) software for front end use
- Direct leadership and supervision (hire, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate, discipline) to 40-50 student staff members
- Responsible for the daily deposit and cash handling, along with tracking 3 $100 tills and refunds/cancellations
- Baseline level knowledge/assist Assistant Director with budget management, equipment inventory, and other administrative functions
- Baseline level knowledge/assist Assistant Director with strategic planning and assessment
- Baseline level knowledge and application of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Work directly with Facility Coordinator – Facilities and Special Events to ensure building needs regarding maintenance and special events are met
- Observe and resolve risk management and safety issues and provide emergency on-call response as needed

ROLE of the POSITION
This position exists to fulfill the leadership and management functions of coordinating campus recreation memberships and all front desk operations of a comprehensive recreation facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT
UNLV Campus Recreational Services is a prominent Las Vegas resource that advocates for a student-focused, Rebel community. Through our facilities and dynamic programming, we exist to ignite student potential, celebrate diversity, and champion lifelong wellness.
Through our programming and services offered to UNLV students, faculty, and staff we promote not only a holistic culture of wellness but a culture that fosters inclusion and equitable practices. Our goal is to attract candidates who will serve as positive role models, have the ability to articulate the value of recreation to all that enter our facility, and can provide opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to learn how to think critically, problem solve, and have the confidence to be successful.
The department of Campus Recreational Services falls under the Division of Student Affairs – the heartbeat of the university – the pulse that keeps everything circulating to give our students a rich array of experiences in addition to their formal education. Each unit in Student Affairs plays an important role in developing the different, daring, and diverse student body that has become UNLV's most recognizable trait.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 year post bachelor's experience or 9 months graduate assistantship experience within recreational or collegiate athletic programming required. Experience with membership sales, guest services, customer service, and direct group/individual supervising required. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
This position prefers a demonstrated ability to work effectively with RecTrac membership database, marketing, cash handling, and youth camps. Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required within 60 days of employment. All successful candidates will have the ability to assess student needs, value a high degree of student contact, interact effectively with a wide diversity of people, have excellent interpersonal skills, communicate well in verbal and written form, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
