Duties:


As a HR SPEC (R&P/COMP), GS , you will provide support for recruitment and placement, military technician compatibility, permanent change of station moves, pay setting, recruitment and retention allowances, and reduction-in-force.

Accomplishes work through the use of a variety of automated personnel systems and programs.

  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance within 1 year of appointment.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications:


GENERAL EXPERIENCE:


  • Experiences gained through civilian and/or military technical training schools within the human resources business programs are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:


Education:

A high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma is required. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is desired. A graduate degree from an accredited civilian academic college or from an equivalent professional military education school is optimum.


You must provide a copy of Official Transcripts as documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

Additional information:


Recruitment, Retention, and Relocation Incentive may be authorized up to 10% of base pay for a max of 4 years pending TAG approval.

Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position. TAG is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to newly appointed federal employees or those with a 90 day break in service).
