Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a
Manufacturing Manager to join our dynamic team in
Huntington Beach, California.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of personnel, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Institutes and complies with lean practices throughout the manufacturing area.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • More than 1 year of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams.
  • More than 1 year of experience in implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • More than 1 year of experience demonstrating people management skills to include coaching, teaching, mentoring.
  • More than 1 year of work experience leading or managing cross functional teams.
  • More than 1 year of experience supporting Boeing Operations
  • Materials Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Supplier Management.
  • More than 1 year of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment.
  • More than 1 year of experience in using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools.
  • More than 1 year of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS).

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)

Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Summary pay range:
$103,700 - $140,300
