Job Summary
Salted Melon Bartenders are friendly, outgoing, and possess excellent communication skills.
Guest experience is critical to our continued success, and you will play a major role in the overall quality of that experience.
Your individual personality should shine through in order to thrill our guests.Responsibilities
- Communicate and attend to our guests in a timely manner
- Create a fun welcoming atmosphere for guest
- You have excellent communication skills, can stand for long periods of time, and are able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Provide great hospitality by going above and beyond for every guest
- Know the menu and be able to make genuine recommendations
- Have a strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. Know basic cocktail recipes
- Keep it clean. You're fanatical about clutter.
- Perform calmly and effectively in a highvolume environment
- Respond to onthefly requests with ease and poise
- Understand POS systems and OpenTable (or other digital/online reservation systems)
- Follow all alcoholic beverage laws, company policies and procedures
- Availability to work weekends and some holidays
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
- Work with others to keep all areas clean and always stocked to company standards.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs
- Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently
