The Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the mission to strengthen public education in Hillsborough County through advocacy, investment of resources, and programs that empower every student to achieve both academic and personal success.

The Tech Connect initiative supports students and families as they navigate technology and resources related to eLearning.

The Digital Navigator equips families with necessary technology (computers/tablets/internet), educates families on how to use equipment, and how to use eLearning resources for academic success through in-home and virtual delivery.

Must have personal vehicle as travel throughout Hillsborough County is required - mileage is reimbursed on a monthly basis. This is a grant-funded position.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance learning opportunities and academic progress for students participating in eLearning.
• Perform intake assessment to determine the need for technology for Hillsborough County Public School families participating in eLearning.
• Engage with families to deliver technology for eLearning and educate families on the use of technology.
• Create tutorials for students and families to aid in basic computer operation and utilization of the district's eLearning software. Leveraging inperson sessions, webinars, Zoom sessions, and or YouTube videos.
• Utilize case management software to track student and family progress.
• Instruct students and families on safe computer practices.
• Provide ongoing support of families with technology needs and resources for academic success.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Skills/Attributes:

• Proven ability to instruct nontechnology users on how to effectively use the technology (computers, tablets, internet).
• Experience creating educational webinars, hosting online educational programs (GotoMeeting, Zoom, Microsoft teams, YouTube).
• Knowledge of eLearning tools (Canvas, Clever, Immersive Reader, One Note) is preferred.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to think critically, problemsolve, embrace diversity and demonstrate cultural awareness.

Requirements:

• Bilingual Spanish Speaking
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Access to personal transportation.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Pay:
$42, $45,000.00 per year
