ALLOCATION SPECIALIST (m/f/d) EMEA for our renowned client in Hamburg, to be filled immediately through direct placement.


Your responsibilities:


  • The central task of Allocation Management is to strategically allocate purchased ship space to DACHSER ASL customers and thus achieve the best possible utilization of the contracted shipping volume. In the volatile sea freight market, ensuring and optimizing allocation is one of the most important tasks for maintaining longterm and sustainable relationships with shipping companies.
  • You will be responsible for the allocation management of agreed shipping volumes and will work closely with the purchasing and globally operating operational departments.
  • You will independently manage tariffs for Named Account businesses and will be responsible for reporting carrier statistics and budget fulfillment in the EMEA region.
  • You will support your colleagues as a superuser for our rate management tool and act as an escalation point for branches and EMEA.
  • Together with the Sea Freight Manager FCL EMEA and the German Sea Freight Management, you will drive product development forward.

Your profile:


  • You have completed training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) and have relevant professional experience in the field of sea freight.
  • You have an analytical and conceptual way of thinking and enjoy delving into complex relationships.
  • You have a high level of IT affinity and a great interest in new technologies.
  • You are proficient in the Microsoft Office package
