Description
Ubica Robotics GmbH is a successful start-up based in Grundy Center, IA with around 40 employees. We develop, produce, and distribute autonomous scanning robots for stationary retail and support them in digitizing their processes.


As a working student in our hardware development team, you will actively contribute to the further development of our robots and gain insight into the work of a technology start-up.


Your tasks

  • Creation of circuit diagrams and PCB layouts
  • Testing of electronic components and creation of test setups
  • Wiring of test setups and manual soldering of individual components
  • Assembly and integration of electrical components into robots and building prototypes
  • Creation of documentation for electronic components and testing procedures

What you bring

  • Studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar with at least two successfully completed semesters
  • Experience in simulation and creation of circuits and layouts (Spice, KiCAD)
  • Basic interest in robotics and developing your own electronics
  • Enjoyment of working independently in an interdisciplinary team
  • Ideally good English and German skills
