- Greet customers and take order; provide information about products and look for opportunity to "up-sell" products
- Prepare all drink orders according to standard
- Cleans and stocks work area
- Follows all hotel procedures and policies, including those for safety and security, to ensure safety of all associates during each shift
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep area operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team
- Responds to customer requests and complaints
- Maintain & operate a cash register for transactions
- Assist with room service deliveries as necessary
- Understands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage service
- Operate a cash register and receive payment from customers in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, and follow all guest service and cash handling policies and procedures
- Communicates and reinforces the vision for customer service to all managers, supervisors and employees
- Creates an environment that encourages employees to provide the service brand behavior hospitality and teamwork
- Ensures that all minimum requirements of the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee are in place and understood by all employees
- Ensures that the hotel delivers 100% Guest Satisfaction by developing customer feedback avenues (soliciting input, reports, etc.) and focusing management team on identifying trends and developing and implementing solutions
- Creates an environment that provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver the service brand behavior and teamwork
- Minimum one year of restaurant experience, preferably in an upscale high volume environment
- Must meet minimum age to serve alcohol based on applicable state law
- Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations
- Thorough understanding of safe and perceptive service
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Ability to do basic math and handle cash
- Ability to work with Point of Sale systems
- Highly organized - demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
