    Technical Product Specialist II - Biotech

    Nova Biomedical is hiring a

    Technical Product Specialist II

    in our

    Waltham, MA


    facility to support end-users of Nova Products, primarily by telephone, to solve technical problems and answer questions related to the operation and maintenance of their Nova analyzer.

    You will provide similar support to Nova's Field Service Specialists, Field Sales representatives as well as in-house personnel.

    responsibilities


    will include:


    Communicate primarily with end users, Field Service and Field Sales representatives to resolve technical problems and answer questions related to their Nova instruments.

    Documenting details of each call including steps taken to resolve problems and/or answer questions in the Pivotal Database.
    Participate in rotating after hours support to provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week technical support.
    Assist in the training of new Technical Product Specialists, Field Service Specialists and Field Sales representatives.
    Provide Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance support to internal customers in Manufacturing, Quality Control and Research and Development.
    On occasion, take part in special projects for customers or the Technical Support department
    Occasional travel to customer sites.

    Qualifications:
    Familiar with bioengineering, biotechnology research laboratory and/or biologics production/manufacturing settings.
    Familiarity with cell culture/fermentation for biologics development is a plus.
    Must be an effective communicator with strong analytical skills.
    Strong technical ability to troubleshoot and understand complex systems.
    Strong interpersonal skills and technical aptitude.
    Strong ability to multi-task.

    Physical Demands:
    Alternating between standing and sitting, Climbing stairs, Crouching/stooping, Far visual acuity, Fine motor manipulation, Gross motor manipulation, Hearing, Keyboarding, Kneeling,


    Lifting/Carrying up to —751bs., Pushing or pulling up to —751bs., Moving objects, Near visual acuity, Peripheral visual acuity, Reaching overhead or below, Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods, Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls., Walking, Ability to wear PPE.


    Education/Experience:
    Minimum BS or equivalent, in Chemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Life Sciences or Electronics.
    2 plus years' related experience required. Biotechnology, Biomedical engineering,

    Laboratory background preferred.
